Fees, Gap and Rebates
Please ensure that you fill in the clinic forms with up-to-date information and that your bank details are registered with Medicare before your appointment so that our reception staff can claim the rebate for you. The rebate is usually deposited in your bank account in 24-48 hours. Appointments need to be paid in full before you can receive the Medicare rebate.
The difference between the fee and the Medicare rebate is the “gap” or out of pocket cost for the appointment.

Inpatient gap fee is $500 for inpatient admissions to the Ramsay clinic, Hillcrest Hospital for all our psychiatrists.
Appointments for seeking collateral information from carer, family member etc. for diagnosis or management will be bulk-billed.
We accept DVA white, gold and orange cards-Please make sure you check with DVA that you are covered for your appointments before making the appointment.
Cancellation
We understand that unexpected situations can make it hard to attend scheduled appointments. If this happens, the team at CQ Mind Matters will appreciate 24 hours’ notice so that we allocate the time to another patient on the waiting list. We will also help you to reschedule your appointment to a more convenient time. Unfortunately, the limited specialist time we have available in our local area means that you are likely to experience a delay before you are able to re-book. Please contact us on 07 4887 5123.
Cancellation within 24hrs or non-attendance of your confirmed appointment will result in a charge of 50% of your scheduled appointment fee which will need to be paid prior to rebooking.
We have a cancellation process and waitlist so we can offer urgent and emergency appointments when available to patients on the waiting list.
Our psychiatrists liaise closely with GP’s, psychologists, Nurse practitioners, NDIS and Public mental health Services to offer patients a recovery journey that is as seamless as possible. Our psychiatrists have admitting rights to the Ramsay Clinic and Hillcrest Hospital, and are able to offer inpatient care for patients when needed.
Ramsay Clinic, Hillcrest Hospital, Rockhampton and can offer inpatient care for patients when needed. The Ramsay Clinic has an easy access pathway for patients needing urgent inpatient care.
Third Party
If your appointments are covered by a third party (Workcover, Insurance company etc.) please ensure you have your claim number, case manager name and their contact details ready for reception staff at your first appointment. If your appointment is covered by NIISQ, Victim Assist or an NGO, please ensure you pass on the details to our reception staff at your first appointment.
